Township 7 Winery launches Annual Support, Ship & Sip campaign to support industry members in need
In the month of May, Township 7 will donate $10 from every online purchase to the BCHF, in addition to collecting direct donations on behalf of the charity. Visit Township 7 campaign page during the month of May to make a purchase or direct donation.
Township 7 Winery has announced the launch of its fifth annual Ship, Sip & Support charity campaign, benefiting the BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF). Dedicated to assisting hospitality and tourism workers facing unexpected health challenges, BCHF has provided critical support to over 300 individuals since its inception in 2006.
In the month of May, Township 7 will donate $10 from every online purchase to the BCHF, in addition to collecting direct donations on behalf of the charity. These contributions will directly aid BCHF's mission of providing essential financial assistance to those in need within the hospitality industry.

BC Hospitality Foundation Scholarships Now Accepting Applications | Apply by March 31, 2022
The BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is now accepting applications for several scholarship programs which foster the development of the next generation of hospitality industry workers and leaders.
In 2022, the BCHF scholarship program will be the largest ever, at over $65,000, and there are new scholarships dedicated exclusively to supporting members of underrepresented groups such as First Nations and members of the LGBT2Q+ community.
The deadline for most scholarship submissions is March 31, 2022.
The BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is now accepting applications for several scholarship programs which foster the development of the next generation of hospitality industry workers and leaders.

Qualtrics Survey to Support the BC Hospitality Foundation | Qualtrics Experience Management
UBC Sauder School of Business has chosen the BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) as one of the charities for their students to work on a case study assignment.
The students have created a survey to collect feedback from current/potential donors or newsletter followers regarding BCHF’s initiatives, events and ways for improvement. Information will go directly to the students. The survey will be open until October 21.
UBC Sauder School of Business has chosen the BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) as one of the charities for their students to work on a case study assignment.
Three different teams of students will create sponsorship packages for the BCHF tailored to promote the foundation and provide value to corporations when sponsoring any of their activities.
The survey will be open until October 21st and will take less than 10 minutes to complete. Information will go directly to the students.

The organization provides support to workers facing financial crisis resulting from health conditions experienced by themselves or their family members, with beneficiaries including restaurant chefs and servers, hotel workers, delivery drivers, brewmasters and winemakers, and other industry members.
BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) has donated over $1 million to hospitality and tourism workers since it was founded in 2006. The organization provides support to workers facing financial crisis resulting from health conditions experienced by themselves or their family members, with beneficiaries including restaurant chefs and servers, hotel workers, delivery drivers, brewmasters and winemakers, and other industry members.
BCHF is the hospitality industry’s charity, supporting and inspiring those who serve you every day. Help is given to those who most need it, often in their most difficult hour. As people cope with stressful medical situations and the extraordinary costs arising from them, the foundation is alongside to support them and their families.
The foundation provides financial support beyond conventional medical plans, EI, or other insurance or benefit plans and are often the first glimmer of hope for members of the hospitality community.

Server who suffered soft tissue and head injury from being struck by a car as a pedestrian – covered her rent for a month and other basic expenses so she could return to work.
Cook who suffered a stroke and his wife had to have an emergency root canal - covered the cost of the dental work and basic living costs for 1 month.
Restaurant worker who contracted an infection while giving birth to a premature baby girl. Mother and baby were transferred to hospital and stayed for over 3 weeks. The BCHF helped the family to cover the extraordinary costs of the father’s travel, older sister’s care, and living out of home for 21 nights
The winning name will be drawn at noon on August 17 and will be posted on the BCHF website and social media shortly thereafter, pending notification to the winner. Funds raised by the event will be used by the BCHF to support hospitality industry workers facing financial crisis due to a serious health condition experienced by themselves or a family member.

The BCHF provides financial support to hospitality workers in financial crisis due to a serious health condition to themselves or a family member. They also have a scholarship program to foster the development of the next generation of workers and industry leaders. The have helped over 430 people with more than 1.25 million dollars since their inception in 2006.
All prizes represent British Columbia’s tourism and hospitality sector and are redeemable in 2021. By purchasing tickets, you will not only support the BCHF, but also our tourism and hospitality industry!
