We are pleased to share that the following projects were recently announced as recipients of the Provincial Government’s Community Economic Recovery Infrastructure Program (CERIP) for the Destination Development Stream:

  • Salmon Arm Museum and Heritage Association | Completion of Cultural Heritage Attraction

  • Bonaparte Indian Band | Phase 2 of the Mcabee Trail Project

  • North Okanagan Regional District | Okanagan Rail Trail Connection

  • Osoyoos Desert Society | Desert Centre Boardwalk Trail Rehabilitation

  • Kamloops Wildlife Park Society | Accessibility improvements

  • Nicola Valley Fall Fair Association | Fall Fair building improvements

  • Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC | Merritt and Nicola Valley fishing access improvement Project

Other Regional projects were funded through other CERIP Streams. Of note, the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association received funding through the Rural Development Stream to implement recommendations within the KVR Masterplan. Much of the funding will go directly towards creating a better trail experience with improved signage and on trail amenities between Mile 0 and Little Tunnel.
