Moving Forward Better: Recovery, Resiliency, and Regeneration

Presented Virtually on November 25 and 26, 2020

There are many firsts for this year's event, not the least of which is that for the first time we will not be together in person. We are, however, very excited that the technology we are using will not only allow you to network with other attendees, speakers, and panelists but will enable you to meet with businesses on the tradeshow floor and participate in an online silent auction.

Another first for this year is the collaboration with our colleagues in the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast to bring to you this joint 2-day event. Both of our tourism regions have experienced significant challenges in the past several years due to wildfires, floods, landslides, and, now, COVID-19. Working together we have been able to secure an outstanding lineup of speakers and panelists that we will help to support, redirect, and motivate all of us for the year ahead.

Finally, through the support of a variety of corporate and public partners, this year's virtual conference is offered without a registration fee. We hope this enables more of our stakeholders within our region as well as those interested in tourism businesses and partners outside of our regions to take part in this event.

Watch the Summit 2020 Introduction to learn more about the event schedule:

We ask and encourage those of you that are able to participate in the option to DONATE when you register, as the funds raised will continue to support our ongoing commitment to the TOTA Tourism Excellence Scholarship Program for post-secondary institution tourism students. Those that register and donate $50+ before November 10 11:59 PM have the opportunity to experience a Virtual Wine Tasting hosted by Mission Hill Family Estate Winery on November 25.

Saying "this has been a difficult year" does not even begin to scratch the surface of what our industry has gone through. We hope this unique virtual event will enable you to take time to stand back from the day to day challenges, consider varied perspectives, and hopefully have some virtual or even real fun along the way.
