The annual Spring Wine Festival is set to unfold in the Okanagan over the first two weeks of May.
The Okanagan Wine Festivals Society has more than 90 events planned between May 1 and 12. There are five signature events, including the Spring WestJet Wine Tastings that will feature more than 200 under one roof.
A new addition this year is Putting and Bubbles, where patrons will learn from a golf pro while enjoying some wine.
“The spring festival is a unique opportunity for wine lovers to experience the best of wine country as wineries celebrate new releases and prepare for the upcoming season,” Okanagan Wine Festivals Society chair Angela Brown said in a press release. “Because it takes place before the busy summer season, wineries are looking to engage with wine lovers and connect with enthusiasts.
“It really is an incomparable opportunity for those interested in a more one-on-one experience with wineries and our fantastic new releases.”
Also taking place during the festival will be the British Columbia Best of Varietal Wine Competition, which will identify the top entrants in more than 30 categories.
