Okanagan College, UBCO set to announce new ‘green collaboration’

Senior management from Okanagan College and the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO) are about to team up on a new “green collaboration.”

A press conference has been scheduled for Thursday morning at Okanagan College’s Penticton campus to reveal the details about a new partnership between the two institutions, which will “further applied research and open doors to collaborative education and training opportunities,” said a news release issued by Okanagan College Wednesday morning.

Jim Hamilton, the president of Okanagan College, and Deborah Buszard, deputy vice chancellor and principal of UBCO, will attend the announcement.

So will Eric Corneau, regional dean of Okanagan College in the South Okanagan-Similkameen and Yvonne Moritz, dean of science, technology and health for Okanagan College.

The announcement will be made at the Jim Pattison Centre of Excellence at 10:30 a.m.
