Two nights of talks at the Kelowna Public Library will engage in a wide-ranging and stimulating conversation about the politics of tourism.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: DR. RAOUL BIANCHI,
EAST LONDON UNIVERSITY

Dr. Raoul Bianchi is an expert on the political economy and politics of international tourism with particular emphasis on Southern Europe and the Mediterranean region. Currently, he is working on a critical analysis of tourism and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, and the political economy of post-crisis tourism in Southern Europe.

Scholars from cultural anthropology, human geography, rural studies, and tourism studies will explore how power and politics shape tourism and local communities.
