Chase’s Fabulous Fam

Industry Professionals Discover Chase

Industry professionals and local representatives from Chase businesses were treated to a fantastic day experiencing everything Chase, BC has to offer. Visitors from both the Lumby and Armstrong Chambers of Commerce, TOTA, Shuswap Tourism and many local businesses were hosted by delegates from Chase, including Mayor Rick Berrigan and Chase Chamber manager, Ali Maki.

Some of the highlights of the day included an amazing canoe tour, led by Quaaout Lodge Cultural Coordinator, Tanner Quanstrom. The tour included a viewing of a traditional Secwepemc pictograph. Local historian, David Lepsoe gave participants a step back in time, in both his attire and photographs of the early days of the Village. Treetop Flyers Zipline provided a healthy dose of adrenaline, encouraging participants to try our Flying Fox zipline, as well as the 100′, Screaming Eagle Swing. The only solar-powered amusement ride of its kind. Other notable stops were Chase’s beautiful lakeshore, skateboard park and Sunshore Golf Course. Participants were chauffered in specialized golf carts. Chase is the only community in Canada where golf carts are legal on Village roads.

The day ended with a fantastic meal at Jack Sam’s restaurant at Quaaout Lodge, overlooking the beautiful Little Shuswap Lake.

Chamber manager Ali Maki summed up the day, “Such an incredible opportunity to share with tourism representatives our little gem we call home!”
