This year, TOTA is running a Short Film Contest for DEVOUR! The Food Film Fest in Osoyoos. Three finalist’s short films will be played before we announce the winner at the Saturday night Gala on June 16. The prize? A three night stay at Watermark Resort for four!
The judges are looking for a unique, interesting film experience related to food, drink, or agriculture in the Okanagan. Filmmakers shouldn’t worry about being too professional, as TOTA wants to see a wide array of video, from beginner to experienced. Sometimes, raw footage is far more effective than over processed film. Submissions should be under 3 minutes, original, and posted to social media to enter the contest.
There are many food related experiences in the Okanagan, and TOTA wants to see the ones that invigorate people throughout the region! Which food experience are they most passionate about? Showcase it for all to see! Videos can showcase any aspect, from how good the food looks to sustainable farming practices to friendly and knowledgeable staff to unique drink experiences – there is no end to the variety of content to choose from in our region. Using inventive camera angles, unique colour schemes, and showcasing good food will help the filmmakers succeed!
Please spread the word to your local community about this great opportunity for foodies and filmmakers alike.
