Sun Peaks, BC (January 30, 2018) – The eclectic sounds of Big Sugar, a mainstay of Canadian Rock, will fill the air at Sun Peaks when they take the stage at the first summer concert of the year. The JUNO nominated band is slated to hit Sun Peaks’ open-air stage on Saturday, June 30, as part of the Canada Day weekend celebration.
Hailing from Toronto, Big Sugar’s extensive catalogue of hits will bring the crowd to their feet as they groove along to signature songs including “Turn the Lights On”, “Diggin a Hole” and “If I Had My Way”.
“We are excited to welcome Big Sugar to Sun Peaks on June 30th as part of our Canada Day weekend-long celebrations,” said Arlene Schieven, President and CEO at Tourism Sun Peaks. “Sun Peaks has a tradition of providing free, outdoor music concerts where guests are able to enjoy our beautiful mountain setting while listening to a wide variety of artists. The high energy style of Big Sugar will be a perfect complement to a weekend of mountain activities.”
Last year, Sun Peaks welcomed an estimated 7,000 attendees to pull up a lawn chair in front of the Main Stage for the free Canada Day concert. For the full Canada Day weekend schedule and upcoming opening act announcements, stay tuned to the events calendar at www.sunpeaksresort.com.
