Beginning, established and youth TNRD artists wanted for Art Exposed Regional Exhibition

Entry deadline is Feb. 16, 2018 (or when 200 entries are received); exhibition runs March 9-17

Residents of the TNRD practising visual art of any kind, and at any level, are encouraged to enter the Kamloops Arts Council’s 8th annual Art Exposed Regional Exhibition. The exhibit will run March 9-17, 2018 at the Kamloops Old Courthouse Cultural Centre.

In this open, non-curated art show, all entered works (2D and 3D) will be displayed. Emerging and established artists are welcome to enter; there is also a category just for youth ages 8-14.

Cash prizes and honourable mentions will be awarded. New this year is a special $500 #BCStrong prize to commemorate last summer’s wildfires, thanks to the lead support of the Thompson Nicola Regional District.

Up to two works per artist will be accepted. Due to space restrictions, maximum size of artwork is 12 sq ft.

The entry deadline is Feb. 16 or until 200 entries are received, so register early! Artwork need not be ready until the drop-off dates of March 2 & 3.

Tis year’s jurors are artists Michael O’Brien (artist & co-owner, 4Cats Arts Studio), Christine Beaton (artist / sculptor), and Tim Francis (artist / painter). Entrants may book a feedback session with a juror.

Complete guidelines and online registration form may be found at www.kamloopsarts.ca. Or visit the KAC office at the Old Courthouse to register
