Reserves, awards, tours & our harvest dinner at Covert Farms

This year has been nothing short of record-breaking, from record early season rainfall, to some of the hottest weather on record, to one of the driest summers. As organic farmers, while we still have to adjust to conditions, we have more resilient plants that are designed to adapt to conditions.

Our grapes have reached veraison (ripening) and as we preparing for harvest, we are looking ahead to the rest of the tourism season. Coming up is our annual end of harvest dinner (September 30), the best time of year to visit our farm and taste the abundance of fresh produce while soaking up the aromas of grapes as they are harvested and crushed. For all the same reasons, our vineyard and wine tours are also best experienced at this time of year, giving you the chance to pick up some of our new releases.

New Wine Releases & Awards

It’s reserve season at Covert Farms. We have just released our best of the best, including our 2014 Grand Reserve Zinfandel, 2015 Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and 2015 Grand Reserve Pinot Noir.

This release is especially exciting as it comes on the heels of our 2013 Grand Reserve Zinfandel winning Top Gold (and 96 points) at the 8th annual International Organic Wine Award 2017 in Germany. The 2014 Grand Reserve Pinot Noir and 2014 Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon also took home gold medals and were awarded 91 and 94 points respectively. These vintages are sold out but we encourage you to try the new releases as they are tasting great!

Soon to be released is our 2016 Grand Reserve Roussanne, and in keeping with our other grand reserves, the 2015 vintage of this wine also won a gold and received 90 points at the German organic wine awards.
