The 2nd annual Summerland Feast of Farms event will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2017.
The evening begins at 6 pm with a reception-style wine tasting and cheese and True Grain bread sampling, followed by an elegant sit down, farm-style long table event for 100 guests. Chef Paul (Brodo Kitchen) has formulated a mouth-watering menu that celebrates local and sustainable food and growers. The three-course meal is presented with organic wines from Summerland wineries.
Summerland Feast of Farms is being held at Dickinson Family Farm in a lit, under-the-stars setting alongside a fruit orchard. An open area (approximately 500 sq. ft.) is set aside for the wine testing, meal preparation, etc. Live entertainment is being provided by Timbre Wolves and MC Erick Thompson; transportation (by donation to the fundraiser) to and from The Farm is being provided by Ogopogo Valley Tours. (You MUST book in advance.)
This event is a fundraiser for two $500 bursaries for 2017 Summerland Secondary School graduates who will be commencing a sustainable agriculture program on or before September, 2018.
