On Saturday evening, the stars of Family Channel’s ”Backstage”, Josh Bogert, McKenzie Small and Aviva, took time to meet and greet fans at Big White’s famous Carnival Night. Young fans came out to say ‘Hi’ to their favourite Family Channel stars, grab an autograph and take home great prizes.
On Sunday, after a huge turnout for the Cruz the Blues closing ceremony, Big White hosted a Family Channel concert in the Big White Tube Park. Singing sensations Josh, McKenzie and Aviva took to the stage for one of the most popular concerts in mountain history. From Josh’s freestyle DJ set to McKenzie and Aviva’s soulful originals and upbeat covers, it was an incredible live performance, enjoyed by all ages.
On Monday, BC Family Day kicked off with bluebird skies and lots of sunshine out on the slopes. To celebrate BC Family Day, Big White offered all BC residents 50% off lift tickets to support local families to take advantage of this provincial holiday and special time off to enjoy together.
“BC Family Day is important and special to BC – it’s a chance for families to spend time and connect with one another, as well as a chance for BC locals to celebrate their province with one another,” said Michael J. Ballingall, Senior Vice President of Big White Ski Resort. “We were thrilled to offer a weekend full of activities and events for all the families that came to visit us here at Big White.”
Big White is known as Canada’s favourite family resort. With many adventure activities on offer, such as tubing, ice-skating and its 60ft. ice-climbing tower, Big White isn’t just a ski resort – it’s a winter escape with something for every age to enjoy.
Families choose Big White for its accessible terrain, easy ski-in/ski-out access, and world-class Ski & Board School. Now more than ever, families are travelling to interior BC to get away to a resort that offers it all.
After a successful weekend in the books, Big White looks forward to greeting its American and Albertan guests next week for Presidents Week and Alberta Family Day weekend.
