Another feature film is set to be shot in the South Okanagan/Boundary region.
Casey Affleck’s director debut, Light of My Life, is expected to start filming in the mountains east of Osoyoos on Feb. 8, according to yvrshoots.com. Scenes will also be shot in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island.
Jon Summerland with the Okanagan film commission said the film’s producers are also scouting locations in and around the town of Osoyoos, but nothing is decided yet.
Affleck wrote and will also star in Light of My Life, a film about a “father and his young daughter (who) find themselves trapped in the woods,” according to IMDb.
IMDb is listing a 2018 release date for the motion picture.
Filming for Humanity Bureau, starring Nicolas Cage, recently wrapped up production in the South Okanagan.
