Vernon Tourism has been presented with the prestigious Gold MarCom Award for its revamped website.
One of the largest of its kind in the world, the MarCom Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals.
Angeline Chew, tourism manager for the City of Vernon, was the team lead on the development and implementation of the new Tourism Vernon website.
“Changes in technology and how visitors use their mobile devices to search and access destination information made it crucial for Tourism Vernon to develop a new website that was fully mobile-friendly and responsive,” said Chew. “The site now showcases Vernon as a vibrant four season destination with a diversity of activities to appeal to families and friends both domestically and internationally.”
MarCom Award winners range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.
