Baldy Mountain Resort is hosting their second weekend of the Festival of Colours this Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday, October 23rd from noon to 4 pm.
Guests can partake in several activities, including riding the Sugar Lump chairlift up to the summit and visits from some top notch special guests:
Oliver Osoyoos Winery Association offering wine tastings
Firehall Brewery sampling their brews
SORCO – Rapture Centre will make an appearance with the great Houdini the Owl
Scott Brother’s Coffee Co. serving espresso
Visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food, household item or cash donation for the Oliver Food Bank and cash donations for SORCO.
In case tummies start rumbling, we’ll also be serving free hotdogs and burgers. Guests can meet the Baldy team, apply for a job, and pick up and purchase their ’16-17 Baldy season pass.
Last weekend for the first Festival of Colours event we hosted around 300 guests and sold 150 season passes.
With nearly 50 centimetres of snow sitting at the top of the Eagle Chair, there may not be much time between the end of the Festival and opening for the winter. Our official opening date is December 1st, however, if we receive enough snow (75 cms) before then, we will open for the weekends.
