The Salmon Are Coming
Open Friday through Tuesday until the third week of October the Interpretive Cabin will be open at Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park. Come on out and enjoy a day with the family.
There are many things to see and interpret around the park. Enjoy our new paved wheelchair accessible walkway to the Viewing platform along the river, many of the trail and facility upgrades, and while you’re here, stopping by our Interpretive Centre for a souvenir, local art, or area information.
In the Fall, from the bridge, Kokanee Sockeye, Spring and Cohoe salmon, along with Rainbow trout may be seen spawning in the Eagle River, which is the northern boundary of The Enchanted Forest property!
We invite you to witness this incredible seasonal phenomenon and learn more about salmon spawning and life cycles.
