The Holy Grail of hockey is coming to the Okanagan.
The Stanley Cup will be in Lumby Saturday, Oct. 1, as part of the ongoing Hockeyville events.
Lord Stanley’s trophy will be on display at Oval Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their cameras, as they will have the opportunity to get their photo taken with one of the most coveted sports trophies of all time.
Also on Saturday evening, Vernon born, NHL official Tom Kowal will lead an NHL officials clinic at Pat Duke Memorial Arena.
Local referees have been selected to participate in the once-in-a-lifetime experience and learn from a team of NHL officials in both an off-ice and on-ice training session.
Members of the Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings will also be in Lumby Oct. 1 prior to their Oct. 2 pre-season game at Kal Tire Place.
