Theatre on the Edge is Shuswap Theatre’s summer festival of bold and brave theatre, running July 22-24. Pick your show, pick your time – performances run from afternoon to night. Theatre productions from the Shuswap, Vernon, Kamloops, Kelowna and Vancouver offer experiences you won’t forget. Buy a pass and see comedy, cabaret, puppets, and one act plays – and in between enjoy a drink and some live music at the outdoor Edge Club. Preview Theatre on the Edge shows on Saturday July 16 at a FREE reading by Nicolle Nattrass of her newest play Mamahood: Turn and Face the Strange.
The lineup of plays for this year’s Theatre on the Edge is confirmed, with seven plays and fourteen performances over the weekend of July 22-24. This year, groups from the Okanagan, Shuswap and beyond will be taking the stage at Shuswap Theatre, with a range of productions from cabaret to marionette theatre to sketch comedy. Each play runs under 60 minutes and between shows theatregoers can relax with a drink and a bite to eat while listening to free entertainment at the outdoor Edge Club. Marionette Winery will be pouring their wonderful wines all weekend.
