The world’s largest culinary film festival, Devour! The Food Film Fest, will make its inaugural stop in Osoyoos, May 6 to 8. Devour! Okanagan at Watermark Beach Resort will see the resort’s Executive Chef Adair Scott kick off festivities with Chef Michael Howell, who launched Devour in Nova Scotia in 2009. In an epic East vs West showdown, the two chefs will create competing canapés, paired with creative cocktails on May 6 ($45 pp).
On May 7, both chefs will produce a spectacular six-course meal alongside local B.C. luminaries, including; chefs Ricardo Valverde of Ancora Waterfront Dining & Patio, Felix Zhou of Beach Bay Cafe & Patio, Jeff Van Geest of Miradoro Restaurant, Derek Uhlemann of Covert Farms Family Estate and Jesse Croy of Two Rivers Specialty Meats. Each course will be paired with a selection of Similkameen wines and an original short food-themed film ranging from 90 seconds to five minutes ($65pp including pairings).
On May 8, Watermark’s boardwalk showcases local artisans when it transforms into a Slow Food Market to close the festival. Packages start at $307 CAD pp for a two-night stay and two festival passes – book tickets online at http://www.watermarkbeachresort.com/devour-film-fest/.
