Tourism stakeholders gathered from throughout the Boundary area to develop a new tourism plan for the region. Over 20 people participated in a full-day workshop to provide their insights and input into what the key priorities and vision is for the Boundary.
The Destination BC tourism planning program provides the resources for areas to develop a plan and the communities are supported through the expertise of the regional tourism representatives of Destination BC, Industry and Community Development Specialist Simone Carlysle-Smith of TOTA.
The Plan is intended to identify key initiatives in destination development, tourism management and marketing which can be accomplished over the next year and a half.
The initial plan completed in 2010 resulted in the Boundary brand, website and imagery that been used to showcase the Boundary area at consumer shows in Vancouver.
