Buy Local BC has released its 2017 Okanagan and Thompson-Shuswap maps, with more than 100 participants providing fresh local produce.
The Thompson-Shuswap map features more than 50 participants, 28 farms and 20 other listings, and the Okanagan map has 75 participants, including 48 farms and 25 local businesses, providing everything from fruit and veggies to honey and cheese.
“Being a part of the Lake Country and Vernon markets for the Canada 150 weekend was a wonderful way to show off this year’s new maps on the national holiday,” said Buy Local BC founder and co-ordinator Shayne Wright. “We’re also looking forward to our Thompson-Shuswap map launch this week in Kamloops.”
Copies of the maps are available at most visitor centres and hotels or check out an interactive online map here.
Buy Local BC hopes to strengthen the link between local farmers and producers, restaurants, retailers and consumers.
